James Suckling 94pt

A refined and minerally Chassagne-Montrachet with delicate aromas of dried pears, fresh hazelnuts and butterscotch. Beautiful texture on the medium- to full-bodied palate. Then comes the long, focused finish that is the best thing about this beauty. Drink or hold.

Description

Chassagne-Montrachet is located to the south of Puligny-Montrachet in the Cote de Beaune and is one of Burgundy's greatest white wine appellations. As its name suggests this small parcel of just 0.5 hectares is situated right at the top of the slope of the Montagne of Chassagne at an altitude of 310 meters.
