Product Ratings
James Suckling 98pt

Deep nose of toasted hazelnuts, smoke, caramel and candied citrus peel. Rich, concentrated and creamy on the full-bodied palate, with an intensity of minerality that builds to a huge climax. Plenty of power and drama here, also some oak, but it all fits together beautifully at the very long, focused finish.

by James Suckling, 2024

Description

Chevalier-Montrachet sits higher up the same hillside as the Montrachet appellation. In 1913 Domaine Louis Latour purchased this 0.51 hectare vineyard from the widow of Leonce Bocquet, who restored part of the Chateau du Clos Vougeot. This vineyard carries the name "Les Demoiselles" in homage to the daughters of an early 19th century Beaune General, Adele and Julie Voillot, who owned the vineyard and never married.
